A world
of fitness options
all in one place.

From performing arts and competitive sport, to navigating or collecting food - Polynesian people have embraced physical fitness in many different ways. But for too long, we’ve relied on word of mouth to access these activities.

The longer it takes to find a fitness solution you connect with, the harder it is to stay engaged and motivated. It’s our mission to take the hassle out of finding a fitness solution you enjoy, so you can get on with your fitness journey, whatever that looks like.

Founder of PolyFit: (Master in Sport & Leisure Studies)

Clark grew up in Tokoroa with his three siblings after his parents immigrated from Samoa in the early 60s. For almost 25 years, he has taught sport, fitness and outdoor education at the tertiary level at Bay of Plenty Polytechnic, Waiariki Institute of Technology and the New Zealand Institute of Sport in Auckland.

With a mission to inspire people to embrace fitness more often, Clark created PolyFit to increase access to the broad range of fitness options available around Aotearoa.

“I created PolyFit for a number of reasons. The first is to help my community find a fitness solution they love. The second, to help personal trainers and other fitness providers attract and retain clients. The third reason was the lack of a New Zealand-based directory that brought both of these audiences to one place. That’s when the idea of the PolyFit database came about.”
